Fall Sale Section at NY and Co.!

Now I have ventured into my fair share of sales sections at my favorite shops and I will have to say what takes the cake is New York and Company! Every time I make my way over to see the latest seasons selections there is always a great rotation.  I mean the only answer is that they must be retail sale magicians.  It is almost like they sense me making my way to their store and “poof” amazing tops, dresses, jewelry galore! Next time I will be sure to strap a go pro to my head directed at my face so you can all enjoy my insane facial expressions of “ohhh’s, and ahhhh’s, and oh yas queen I am loving everything here!”  All jokes aside I wanted to share with you guys my latest find at the beginning of the fall season with this rose colored lace detailed cold shoulder top.  Perfect for a day out at the winery or apple picking.  When the weather gets a bit chillier this can also pair great with a military style jacket too. Unfortunately I was not able to find this top online, but I found a perfect one that is similar, scroll down for more!

Keepin it Casual…

While heading out for my weekend Whole Foods run where I make my usual goal of spending a certain amout, but in reality at the checkout line I spend a wholllllle lot more than I want to…see what I did there.  I feel like someday I may end up on intervention, the Whole Foods Edition.

When running out the door I wanted to share with you all my outfit of choice that doesn’t look like I literally wore my pajamas to the grocery store(tempting).  I went for the “keepin it casual” look.  You know the look where you want to look like your not trying, but come on that is hard!  So this was my attempt, trying to not try, but I tried…you get the picture!

Outfit deets are as follows: Flannel top is from Theo’s Vintage Shop.  Use promocode Catherine15 on their Mystery Flannel section of their website and you will get 15% off your order!  Top under the flannel is from Target for under $20 and layers perfectly!  Jeans are from the site Royalty For You which can be found on TJ Maxx or online!  The material is amazing with the feel of a yoga pant, but the look of the perfect jean fit!  Shoes are from Old Navy which were about under $30.  I wore these during my entire trip to Paris which consisted of ALOT of walking, but my feet stayed comfy and dry!  Also, the crossbody purse has a bit of a suede feel and was under $40 from Old Navy, which pairs perfect with any look!

“Stay casual San Diego” oh I am on a roll today!

The Perfect Jacket and Jeans from TJ Maxx!

Who knew that craft beer and fashion could go so hand in hand! This past weekend the beau and I had a little date day to DC for the DC beerfest and of course the perfect opportunity for a fashion blog photoshoot! A couple of weeks ago I shared with you all my post about my latest fall favs and I wanted to share them with you in action, especially my olive green army style jacket from TJ Maxx for under $40.

Love this look since it has the perfect urban chic kind of feel.  Unfortunately, the weather was not so kind to us and it rained a majority of the time while we were at the festival. Oh ya know, just rocking that “frizzy hair don’t care” kind of look, all my curly haired ladies know what I am talking about #praisehands

If you are like me I am either sweating aggressively or shiverering obscenely in randomn places at randomn times.  So it is perfect to have that coat you leave on or off for any event and not look like you are that girl at the bar wearing a sleeping bag as a coat indoors.  Yes, I have been there and yes I have done that.

Also, wanted to share with you literally THE perfect pair of jeans from TJ Maxx for under $20, the brand Royalty for Me!  My reaction to the thought of jean shopping makes me want to curl up in the fetal postion in the middle of the floor.  But, upon a randomn excursion to find a new pair of black boots I found myself in the jean aisle in the size 14 section.  Unfortunately, I find size 14’s fitting in all the wrong places lately with too tight in the tummy, to big in the behind, or vice versa.  Then I accidently grabbed a pair of size 12’s that were in the 14’s.  After slipping them on in the fitting room it was a que the church bells kind of situation. They fit like a dream and I was still able to enjoy my lox bagel that morning!  Not only the size, but mainly the fit was perfect in terms of just the right amount of stretch without overstretching like some jegging brands tend to do.  There is also a ton of choices on their website of color, cuts, and styles too!
