The BEST White Pant from NY and Co.!

So the last time I wore a white pant I was in 8th grade and I was on my way to band practice in my polyester blend (so hot I know) and I sat in the brownies that were on the seat in our mini van that I was supposed to bring to the bake sale.  Let’s just say that situation did not help my coolness factor since it looked like I “you know whated” while playing the clarinet in 90 degree heat with mandatory french braids. Do you know how hard it is to braid crazy, frizzy, curly hair! Oh my poor mother!

So like many fashion bloggers doing a wear white after labor day post is a must, because I am loving how this fashion rule is finally being broken…in the most fashion forward way! I recently got these amazing poly blend white joggers from New York and Co. early this month for half off! The perfect feature about these pants is that they can be dressed up or dressed down for any occasion.  They have also been tested and approved in the comfort department.  Test being eating 3 shrimp tacos from my fav taco place and not feeling like I need to sprint home to chance into a pair of leggings. Scroll all the way down to purchase these pants online, they are still available!

Cupcake Dress Anyone?

So a recent conversation with a friend of mine went as follows when I came out wearing the dress pictured below, “does this dress make me look like a not so great version of a cupcake or an adult Shirley Temple?”  To my surprise my friends response was, “ummm well that was randomn and girl that dress is fierce on you!” So from that response I knew I had to make this look into a post to share with you all.

So if you all can recall my excitement last week about the buy 1 get 3 free amazing sale at New York and Company this was look #2! Typically I am into the flowy, move when you twirl, kind of dresses, but the structure on this dress is on point!  With the large banded waist hits in the perfect place to accentuate those hips if you share a similar shape to me. The bottom half of the dress has more of a ribbed kind of texture, which hold its shape through the day.  I will say that with this kind of material is best for a spring event where is it a bit cooler than in the summer since this material holds a bit of weight to it. Accessories?  No need to overdue it when you have a textured skirt with bold colors, just simple earrings and a bracelet is all you need for a look similar to this.

New York and Company Sale of the Season!

Show of hands that can agree this was the summer of weddings!  Do not get me wrong I love a good round of SHOUT, blowing bubbles, struttin out to the floor with all my single lady gals to catch that bouquet is my vibbbbbbe, but making sure you are not doubling down on looks for all weddings can get tricky and hurt that budget girl!

So the best way to make sure you are Instragaming the heck out of everyone’s feed with amazing looks at your best friends wedding is a great sale.  Yes, the Nordstrom sale was out of the this world, but the sale at New York & Co. was prime time amazing. In transitioning to fall the sale section is on point! Here is a peek at the finds that I had, featuring the one on the right for this post, keep reading…

Not only do they always have fair and amazing prices, but I got a deal of buy 1 get one 3 free!  Now as I have said before I didn’t go to math school, but that is a fabulous deal. The sale section was not filled with just your basics, it had an amazing variety of colors, materials, and prints for all shapes and sizes. Having a pretty pretty princess moment in this look that essentuated my curves in the right way with a fit and flare. This style is perfect for getting through the ceremony, from dinner, to the dance floor and maintaining that level of comfort for a full day and feeling fierce!

Gimmie that shoulder girl!

Is it so wrong to feel like Jessie Spano or the chacha lady emoji when wearing an off the shoulder top, or is it sooooo right? So excited to highlight with you guys this week on my new obsession with this trend!  As the summer winds down I wanted to make sure I give you guys a double dose of a look that has hit the racks of New York & Co. this season!  If you would have asked me to wear anything off the shoulder I would have been like, “ohhhh ummmm no, my shoulders are in ‘hulk’ mode.”  Even though I can barely even care my laundry basket up the stairs I am no where near hulk strong.  Well since I jumped on the body postitivity train I just had to put my insecurities aside and get on this trend.  Well clearly this trend is a winner since I bought two of this look!  The key to this trend is making sure you are selecting a top with extra stretch in the upper section around the shoulders or else before you know it looks like you are wearing a turtle neck in the 90 degree heat!  The off the shoulder look can also be a great transitional piece from the office to happy hour! Just throw on a blazer over these tops and then take it off for that after 5 gang and you are set to party! #chachaLadyForLife
