My New Year Fashion Resolution!

As you all know my inspo for this blog has been fashion dreamer on a realist budget.  Well the dream of owning designer brands has not been totally out of reach as of late!  Part of my New Years resolution was to start living my life with the idea of quality over quantity.  My new attempted outlook on life can be put into play in many parts of my life, but for entertainment sake lets focus on fashion!

Well, I started this new resolution with my most recent purchase of my girl Tory…Tory Burch!  Was able to snag a black leather with gold accented purse that originally costs between $400-500 on consignment for $100!  It also was a perfect find since the interior was pristine! Like I mean you could eat pita chips and hummus inside of this thing.  Note to self…do not ever attempt.

On the flipside of this purchase I made a pinky promise to myself of consigning three purses that I have not worn in the past 2 years.  This was also the same for the killer pair of Tory short heels in perfect condition that also are originally priced for $500 for $110 on consignment.  Then you know the drill consigning three pairs that have not been worn in the past 2 years.  With my two purchases and consigning about 6 items everything kind of comes full circle with me most likely being able to make back half of what I spent. Go math skills!

Now the Tory perfume was not purchased on consignment, but it smells fabulous and was an amazing gift from a friend.  So I obviously had to share with you all! Share with me your New Year fashion resolutions!

Let’s talk leather & pleather!

Maybe it’s the Sons of Anarchy episodes my boyfriend has been watching or maybe my inner rebellious side wanting to emerge,  but I was super stoked to post about the newest addition to my closet that I found on consignment for $23…a pleather blazer!  Usually me and blazers are not compadres especially when it comes to the fit in the shoulder area.  If you are in the market for a blazer and have this same issue be on the look out for 100% rayon for the back AND sleeves of the blazer. The details of pleather just in the front  gives that psych you out look of a leather blazer without feeling like you are Chris Farley in Tommy Boy…you know the scene I am talking about. Pairing  with lace to plaid to that spicy crop top, this look can be transitional from the office to “up in the club on a tuesday”(song is always stuck in my head, apologies if it is now in yours)

What do you pair with your leather or pleather?
