Feeling Classy at The Classy Closet!

So the last time I wore plaid I was sporting a long gray beard, overall straps, and a cone shaped hat. Oh, how I wish I would just leave that sentence right there and not elaborate to see how much side eye on the other side of the screen I am getting about what the heck I am talking about, but I will have to spoil it for you.  I was a gnome with a friend for a costume party! By the way, which is a super easy costume to throw together.

As much as I love chatting about gnomes what my post really is about this week is to share with you guys this amazing find from the cutest boutique called The Classy Closet in Southern Virginia! What I love about this boutique is that they have a variety of sizes from XS-3X in store. I find that typically in some of these smaller boutiques do not have about a size large, which can be discouraging at times. So if you are all about that boho chic life, this boutique is the place for you!

Also, this plaid tunic is the perfect dress for the gal who doesn’t want to go to an occasion feeling overdressed, but still has the dressed up feeling.  Does that make sense? Ok, if you are still with me then head over to the Classy Closet Facebook page and get your hands on the most coziest with a feminine feel tunic! Unfortunately, I could not find this exact dress online, but I did find another cute option below with the link to shop.

Let’s talk leather & pleather!

Maybe it’s the Sons of Anarchy episodes my boyfriend has been watching or maybe my inner rebellious side wanting to emerge,  but I was super stoked to post about the newest addition to my closet that I found on consignment for $23…a pleather blazer!  Usually me and blazers are not compadres especially when it comes to the fit in the shoulder area.  If you are in the market for a blazer and have this same issue be on the look out for 100% rayon for the back AND sleeves of the blazer. The details of pleather just in the front  gives that psych you out look of a leather blazer without feeling like you are Chris Farley in Tommy Boy…you know the scene I am talking about. Pairing  with lace to plaid to that spicy crop top, this look can be transitional from the office to “up in the club on a tuesday”(song is always stuck in my head, apologies if it is now in yours)

What do you pair with your leather or pleather?
