FINALLY! I ventured out to the wonderful land of Bethesda Row in Maryland to check out the new above size 14 collection at Anthropologie called the A+ Collection. When I first walked in and looked around I did not see this section in sight so I asked one of the friendly store associates. She shared with me that the plus collection was downstairs to the right in the back.
Now, I have to be completely honest with you guys. I thought this story was going to have a sad ending like it usually does. At some stores the plus section is in an area at the back of the store almost like it is hidden away. Then pieces are mixed with maternity, random sale items, or it is a very very veryyyyyy small and limited selection. As I walked down the stairs I thought, “Well, here we go again!” I turn to my right and see the A+ on the wall and literally you guys…LITERALLY…the collection takes up half of the entire downstairs!!!!!!!! No joke I looked like a kid in a candy store when walking up to the collection. I felt like que music as I spin around in circles with tears of joy for all of the glorious and well organized selection of above size 14 pieces!
What I love best about this selection is that the way the pieces are styled and cut I find them to be very similar to the other collections around the store that are below size 14. The pieces I tried on were a mix of size 16 & 18. Honestly, I feel like I am a true 16 there which was great to see a consistent fit across the board from dresses, to tops, pants, and skirts! The attention to detail in the design of the embroidery, pops of color and prints, along with a variety of cuts and shapes that I feel like anyone can find something that fits their personal style.
So I did not have that much time to do a try on so I just did a quick breeze through of some of my favorite pieces I spotted, but this is not even cracking the surface of the options they have. There is so so soooooo much more in store! I can’t wait to share with you guys the dress I bought and how I styled it. What do you guys think of the collection?!
