Ok guys…we made it! We have survived the chaos that is Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday (insert chest bump). So the small biz that I wanted to highlight in celebration of this past Saturday is the brand, Curves with Purpose! At The Curvy Con this year I had the chance to meet the owner of Curves with Purpose, Nancy. We had a total coincidental run in of me asking her to take a photo of myself and two other bloggers and before you know it we are chatting about her new fashion line that she was launching.
Cut to now and I am collaborating with them to share with all of you their adorable fall and winter looks! That is what I love about this world of blogging and how a conversation turned into an amazing partnership. There truly is nothing better than meeting the owner of a business in person and to know that your purchase is keeping their dream going and also you can feel fabulous in a unique piece of clothing…a total win win.
So what I love about this brand is these pieces have the feel like you could find them at Nordstrom, but the price point is totally reasonable. I wanted to choose a piece that is a bit outside of what I am usually drawn to, which is faux leather. It is a material that I have wanted to be BFF’s with for some time, but the problem is that either there is no stretch, it’s so thick and the sweat begins, or I just don’t feel comfortable. So I selected some faux leather from their collection. Sounds kind of opposite of what I mentioned right? Well, I figured I may as well put this brand to the test to get me out of my comfort zone a bit so here is the Dana Plus Size Pencil Skirt.
I will have to say the material feels so lovely! It is not too thick or tight and it fits perfect around the waist area, which typically for me pencil skirts can be quite snug. Also, the tricky thing with faux leather is that it can look really cheap. As for this skirt though it had me fooled since it totally looks real! This skirt can be perfect for the office even paired with a blazer or a night on the town paired with a body suit like I have styled.
So I introduce you to Curves with Purpose and I did a round up of some of my favorite picks from this collection! What do you guys think, do you like their selection?
