Wax on, Wax off!

The time when I read a post somewhere probably Vogue that bushy eyebrows were in I was like hallelujiah!!!!! I have been part of the blonde unibrow crew forever. No joke I pluck and pluck and pluck and you can still see those little blonde hairs basically making my brows look like they are holding hands…kind of cute in a really weird way actually. Well, a couple of months ago I was staying with one of my girlfriends in Chicago and her bathroom seriously has the most phenomonal mirror, but it also shows literally every hair, pore, and pimple. So in my dim lighting at home my brows always seemed to what I thought fairly cleaned up and then I caught a glimpse of myself in their mirror and oh lordddddd I knew that these babes needed to be worked on.

Now many moons ago when I used to get my brows waxed on the regular at whatever salon I would go to at the time I would leave with them looking sooooo thin. In another situation while getting them threaded I literally had to almost have the woman stop after just half a brow…yes my pain threshold is clearly low when it comes to my brows. Omg could you guys imagine what I would have looked like when one brow done…enjoy that image.

So I was so pumped that this past weekend I attended the Bubbles & Bloggers meet up at Cera Wax Studio in Bethesda! So originally I was going to just get my brows waxed but the gals talked me into getting them tinted as well. To be honest I was like what the what is tinting? Well, for those of you not down with the beauty language it is basically coloring your brows darker or lighter, basically to make them stand out! I was a little nervous about it at first because I wanted to make sure they still looked natural and they totally turned out amazing. Also, it must be magic because the waxing process was not as painful as I thought it was going to be.

Here are my before and afters and you must book an appointment with Jazmine at the Bethesda location, she is fabulous!
