If you are seeking like minded girl bosses then The Curvy Con is for you! With the mix of brands, bloggers, vloggers, and more coming together for a full day of chatting about topics from body positivity to how to take your business to the next level, I feel like my brain is literally filled to the brim with knowledge and motivation for planning on finishing off the year strong!
So no joke when I first started my blog I literally googled the top 10 curvy fashion bloggers to follow and I basically met all of them! It is so funny when meeting my blogging idols such as Gabi Gregg, Nicolette Mason, Callie Thorpe, Katie Sturino, Sarah Chiwaya, that I literally know a majority about their life already since I watch them on Instagram stories and have followed their blogs for years. I’m over here like “oh how is your new dog?” or “how was the wedding? Congrats!” As I reflect on that I am like ohhhh yeah I sound like a total stalker…greeeeeeat. Every blogger I did chat with though was super chill and it was like chatting with one of my close girlfriends!
There were so many amazing speakers and panelist, but my favorite was definitely the Girl Boss Panel with Cece Olisa & Chastity Garner Valentine who are bloggers and creators of The Curvy Con. Also, along with Gabi Gregg & Nicolette Mason who started as bloggers and are now founders of the clothing line, Premme. The main takeaway for me from this panel was all about how to build your business as an entrepreneur and I feel like I can completely relate that to my blog. I look at this platform as more than a hobby, I treat it just a like biz! Seriously, they were so inspiring to stay the course, keep working hard even though there will be many ups and downs along the way.
It was also so amazing to connect with brands and see their new collections and connect with of course my two favorites, Eloquii & Ellos! Also, a new found love for brands like Molly & Isadora. For those that are going back and forth about attending or not next year I would absolutely say yes, yes, yessss. It is an amazing way to connect with woman from across the nation that share the same mission for fashion for all!
Stay dreamin and keep it real!
