I felt like it was necessary to start this post off with a little video from my favorite Mom duo, #IMomSoHard, chatting about bathing suits:
These ladies are preaching the truth when it comes to full pieces with extreme cut outs that make you look like you are wearing a Borat inspired bathing suit, high waisted bottoms that feel more like granny panties, or when there are so many straps you become a tangled mess, which also makes for awkward tan lines…where my pale girls atttttt! #thatfarmerstanlife
So I know typically my Tuesday posts are about my closet clean out biz. For those that have cleaned out their closets themselves already and parted ways with all of the worn out swimsuits that may have seen better days you might need a replacement for hitting the pool this summer!
I am sharing with you guys my top 3 swimsuit recs!
- Underwire swimsuits are your friend- I love the bra style inspired swimsuit because it gives you a bit of lift and support. I purchased the one I have pictured to pair with high waisted bottoms and am loving the fit! Target $28
- Low back full pieces are great for any body type- Do not think you need to have a sculpted back to pull of a low back full piece. Yes, I know in Baywatch they sported these, but you can too! Also, great for whether you are wanting to hop in on a game of beach volleyball or nap on your towel poolside. You can bend and move with no worries of needing to readjust constantly. Swimsuits for All $50
- How high can you go- So I am all about the high-waisted trend, but I would recommend finding ones that have the sinched material so that it gives you a nice smooth look and feel. I also purchased these as well! Eloquii $55
Check out this inspiring read as well from the Huffpost written by Jenny Trout, “I wore a bikini, and nothing happened.” It was super insightful and I felt really empowered when buying that Target bikini top. Now get out there, slip into that new swimmie, and get this summer started!
