I am Catherine Feeney and this is 2020…I mean episode 19…20…21…

Since it has been a minute since I have recapped episodes from the podcast, let’s just cover the basics shall we?! So if you have listened between the episodes 18-22 and you are looking for a link to shop something I chatted about, here…we…go!

Episode 19

Style Tip of the Week- Binge watched the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel over the holiday and it got me to thinking about how obsessed I am with how all her looks come in some sort of matching set. Whether it is a jacket and skirt set, pants and blazer, or a mix of all of the above I love the convenience of sets! Here are some of my favorites:

Banana Republic- Long and Lean-Fit Metallic Leopard Blazer & Pant set

Manon Baptiste- Jacquard Kimono Jacket & Dress

Reformation- Val two piece set

Nasty Gal- Give ‘Em the Suit Longline Utility Blazer

Manon Baptiste- Jacquard Blazer & Pant Set

Episode 20

Brand of the Week- On this segment we chat about the ups and downs of bridesmaid dress shopping. Now I love love loveeeee weddings and I have loved being in my friends weddings, but it kind of blows my mind that there is such lack of size options and variety at a majority of bridal boutiques. The designer that exceeded all my expectations though is Jenny Yoo! If you are looking for your next bridesmaid dress options she definitely has the modern woman in mind. Here are some of my favorites from her collection:

The James Dress

The Ryan Dress

The Kayla Dress

The Billie Dress

Trend of the Week- Now this trend I think holds the record for coming in and out of trend for decades, wide flare jeans or as some of you vintage lovers like to call them…bell bottoms! I am loving a high waisted flare jean just to mix it up from all of the skinny jeans we see. Shop some of my favorites below!

Anthropologie- Maxime High Rise Flare Jeans

Eloquii- Bell Bottom Flare Leg Jean

Express- Super High Rise Raw Hem Bell Flare Jeans

Spanx- The Perfect Black Pant, Hi-Rise Flare

Episode 21

This style tip of the week was more like a closet organization tip of the week. To get the most out of space in your closet and for your pieces to not get so worn out in the shoulders I definitely recommend velvet hangers. Yes, at first I thought this was only a fancy people thing but there are some really good deals on Amazon, like these beauties!

My First Co-Host!!!! Ep. 16 & 17 Recap

Now Episode 17 you do not want to miss of the Fashun Chronicles podcast! I had my first co-host, Dani of Blonde in the District, who witnessed the first Fashun Chronicles moment and the overdramatic glam voice that I use to intro each episode. We chat a lot about our passion for…you guessed it…fashion! But of course we keep it random for you guys with trying to have her diva cat Chloe meow live on the podcast, we discuss our fear of horses and we had a guest appearance of Monica, owner of Cera Wax Studio! My eyebrows are definitely BFFs with her.

So we tried to stick with some segments that we usually do on the pod, so here is what we chatted about:

Brand of the Week- On episode 16 Dani gave a shout out to Blair of @blairadiebee who is one of the original bloggers! Her style is impeccable and we love that her line Atlantic//Pacific goes up to size 24…yasssss! Here is the link to the heartprint jacket and skirt Dani mentions she is obsessed with!

Episode 17 I introduced you all to a fabulous designer Betsy who is owner of the luxury clothing brand Zophia! Her style is impeccable and her pencil skirts that are custom made is the piece of clothing of your dreamsssssss!

Trend of the Week- Dani has some boots that are made for walkin and that is what she will doooo! She is obsessing over all things high boots this season and they are only getting better from here.

On episode 17 we dove into chatting about the comeback of the headband. To be honest back in the day most headbands would give me a dang migraine, because they are squeezed onto my melon size head, but designs have come a long way! I know this one is a bit on the pricier side, but I tried it on myself in person and this headband is soooo comfy and supports local biz!

Embarrassing Fashion Moment– Dani shares with me her spanx making a guest appearance in one of her recent Instagram photos…we have ALLLLLL been there.

Follow of the Week– This one goes out to one of my favorite Indiana bloggers, Sierra of @eclectickurves! I have learned about so many new brands from her and if you are visiting Indianapolis and are looking for festive and fun things to do with the family she is your go to resource!

Shop the top here ( I coudn’t find the top online, only in store so here is one that is similar) and skirt here! So Eloquii only has sizes above size 14, but I want to help my below 14 followers too! So here are some picks that are similar:

Nasty Gal Metallic Blazer and Pant Set

Asos Velvet Two Piece Set

Living in Leggings & the Diary of a Mall Walker- Ep. 13 & 14 recap

The turkey got the best of me these last couple of weeks and my podcast and blog post scheduling is all out of whack! “Get it together Cath” That is what the little voice in my head is telling me and I am trying to listen! On a real note I have been busy with family, but hey that is something I am really blessed to be stressed about…pass the mashed potatoes and stuffing sis…love ya! Now lets recap my fashionable darrrrrrrlings:

Brand of the Week– While powerwalking with my Mom at the mall…yes you heard right…we strolled by the formal wear section of Macy’s and if you guys are looking for looks for the holidays shout out to Adriana Pappell…obsessed is an understatement. Loving that you can try on the same dress in a size 2 or 22! Yassssss size options! Shop my favorites here:

What’s Trending– Kitten heels are making a comeback and I am here for it! Meoooowwwww!

Who to follow– Maxey Greene! Go follow this magical woman who is a model in New York and we met while I was you guessed it…in New York! Her BTS of what it is like to live and be a full time model in New York is amazing and she cracks me up! Follow her @maxeygreene

Fashion Win of the Week– Found the deal of the CENTURRRRRRRRY at DSW on a pair of Essex Lane Wide Calf boots that kept my legs nice and warm during my tour of the Midwest/south during the week of Thanksgiving! Shop them here on sale from $129.99 to $94.98!

Fashion Fail of the Week– Remember that fabulous new parka from Target that I talked about a couple of episodes ago? Well it betrayed me…see how and go listen to this segment of Episode 13.

Whats the Scoop– Did you know that on Black Friday Americans spent $7.4 billion online and $4.2 billion on Thanksgiving day. Wow Wow Wooooooowwwwwwww!

Style Tip– No need to put those Maxis and Midi dresses away for the winter! Style them with a nice pair of leather boots or slouchy suede! I recommend a bit of a heel and a pointed toe for a balanced look.
